WHAT WE DO

Our ultimate goal is to Empower and Serve so that girls receive the services and supports they need.

SHORT-TERM RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT

There are far too many minors and non-minor dependent in the State of California facing abuse or neglect.

So our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find innovative solution-focused ways for dealing with this challenge.

EMPOWER

At Serenity Home For Girls, Inc., we are dedicated to doing our part to address this issue. Because girls and non-minor dependent young women should be able to get the help they seek and support they need. Through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area.

SERVE

With this initiative, our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential.

Working Towards a Better Tomorrow

By providing culturally-relevant, trauma informed, and age-appropriate service and support the minor and non-minor dependents who come through our doors can redefine their past and work towards a better tomorrow.

OUR LEADERSHIP

My Personal Story and Commitment...

"My whole world as I knew it ended November 26, 1966. My mother was killed in a car accident the day before Thanksgiving. And suddenly, after being in the world for fifteen years, I became a foster child overnight.

After about six months of being in the foster care system I decided enough was enough! I ran away sure I would find love and support but my three surviving aunts and uncle who had displayed nothing but love the first 15 years of my life were now like strangers.

A few years past, with me couch surfing and living with friends and relatives before figure things out to establish a life for myself. I am happy to say that God blessed me with three incredible children.

After all the challenges I’ve overcome, as a former foster child, I made it my goal to speak to others like me and encourage them with all my heart and soul. So, they would always know they have the power to be all that they want to be. That’s how Serenity Home For Girl’s Inc. Non-profit 501(c)(3) came about.  Empowering every young girl that walks through our doors find serenity!" Get involved and support our cause.

Our Partnerships

SERENITY HOME FOR GIRLS, INC. utilizes a collaborative approach in the prevention and intervention services and supports we provide.  Which is first established by ongoing collaboration, coordination, and consultation with the youth, their family, community partners, tribal partners, county placing agencies, law enforcement, schools, courts/attorneys and mental health providers and other support persons as needed.

That being the case, we seek to support the core mission of California's Community Care Children's Residential Program goals, "to protect and improve the lives of all youth who reside in a community care facility through the administration of a transparent licensing system that is collaborative, fair, and supportive of families."
